2022-05-08 Open House Session ....... From Dave T.'s email to the BO/GMC members - (Recent Car Club Show & Shine Coordinator's Visit to the Open House) : This was a very interesting event. The pictures show the Arrow reproduction. Hey guys this is not a static model being built. What you looking at is the actual plane that will be airworthy and will be flown to air shows. It will be powered by two engines from a lear jet. This plane will go like a bat out of hell !! The problems we deal with in restoring our cars are child's play compared to the problems that had to be solved here. This plane will go to 25,000 ft and is constructed to go 1.9 Moc. It is 80% complete but will take another couple of years to finish and be approved by govt. inspectors. So far it has passed all inspections with flying colors. We will have to go see it again in the fall. Thanks to the volunteers for the awesome tour with descriptions and explanations. ( I learned that my high school education about airfoil design was exactly backward !! ) Dave T
