Visiting The Museum
Open Houses for the public take place on the second Sunday of each month between 12 noon and 3:00 pm.
Availability of the Avro Museum for Group Tours:
The Avro Museum is open to the public on the second Sunday of each month from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm.
Individuals and small group visits (see below for options) are encouraged during these times.
Group and Club Visits:
Group and club visits are welcome and arrangements can be made for a short talk about A. V. Roe Canada Ltd
and the Avro Arrow Program for these groups along with a guided tour/explanation of the construction
activity in the hangar. However, all groups/clubs requiring such support must submit the “Application for
Group Visits” form to provide the Museum with all the specifics/contact particulars of the group.
Group Tour Days and Times:
Small Groups (less than 20 people)
Small Groups are encouraged to plan their visits on Public Open House days on the second Sunday of each month. Even on these days, arrangements may be made for a specific group talk and access to the flight simulator.
Larger Groups (up to 60 people)
Larger groups of up to sixty people may be accommodated on other Sundays. Special arrangements for other
days may be made in certain circumstances but the availability of museum volunteers to assist these groups
dictates that Sundays are the preferred days.
School and Other Educational Organizations
Due to the nature of these groups, weekday tours may be arranged. It is recommended that these groups be
restricted to thirty participants to allow for the museum to provide sufficient coverage and instruction. If
there are more than thirty participants expected, it would be appreciated if the group was split into two
smaller groups.
